Daphne Michele is an autistic trans woman who grew up in Central Texas. She is a classical guitarist and singer/songwriter, drawing from her lived experiences to compose her music and lyrics.

Her work is heavily influenced by jazz, folk, outlaw country, and classical music. Some of her favorite artists include: Willie Nelson, Esperanza Spalding, Roland Dyens, Bob Wills/Texas Playboys, Yvette Young, Emmylou Harris, and A. Barrios.

Her first experiences with music were singing in church, and piano lessons as a child. She would also play trombone during high school in a humble 13-person band. She soon began to teach herself guitar, and fell deeply in love with fretted instruments. Even though her life became exceedingly tumultuous post-graduation, she has always found time to practice guitar and write music. She eventually found her way westward to Los Angeles. Now in sunny SoCal, she continues to find opportunities to perform and develop her music.
